Construction Superintendent (Industrial, Data Center)

Job DescriptionTraveling Construction Superintendent Position SummaryThe Traveling Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities across multiple project locations nationwide. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards. The Superintendent serves as the primary on-site leader and coordinates subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal project teams.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all phases of construction from ground-up through closeoutTravel to various project sites as assigned (often 75-100% travel)Supervise subcontractors and field personnel to ensure productivity and qualityDevelop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project ManagerConduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulationsEnforce OSHA and company safety standardsCoordinate inspections with local municipalities and regulatory agenciesManage site logistics, including material deliveries and equipment usageConduct jobsite meetings and maintain daily reportsIdentify and resolve field issues proactivelyEnsure projects are delivered on time and within budgetMaintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholdersQualifications5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent (commercial, industrial, retail, or similar projects)Willingness and ability to travel extensivelyStrong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety regulationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and specificationsProficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)OSHA 30 certification preferredStrong leadership and communication skillsValid driver's licensePreferred ExperienceExperience managing multi-site or nationwide projectsGround-up construction experienceExperience in fast-track or tenant improvement projectsBackground in retail, hospitality, healthcare, or industrial constructionWork EnvironmentPrimarily on construction job sitesExposure to varying weather conditionsLong hours, including occasional weekends as neededTravel required (may include extended stays out of state)Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary (based on experience)Travel per diem and lodging providedVehicle allowance or company vehicleHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidays
