Enjoy a predictable schedule with daytime shifts, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.Key Details- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens- Setting: Outpatient Clinic- Start Date: ASAP- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM- Patient Population: All Ages- Location: Tampa, FL- Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidatesBenefits- Weekly direct deposit- Malpractice insurance with tail coverage- Supportive credentialing assistance- Lodging and mileage reimbursement- Flexible schedulingJob Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive primary and family care services to patients of all ages.- Conduct routine check-ups, assessments, and diagnostic evaluations.- Develop and manage personalized treatment plans for individuals.- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.Qualifications- Valid and unrestricted medical license- Board certification or eligibility in Primary Care or Family Medicine- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environmentWorking Hours- Monday-Friday- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills- Ability to handle a diverse patient population- Strong organizational and time management abilitiesADDED:Location: Fully RemoteSchedule: Full-time (40 hrs/week) or Part-time (20 hrs/week) and weekends availablePay: $175 per hour, 1099 independent contractorResponsibilities:Review medical cases to determine medical necessity and appropriateness of care using evidence-based guidelines and health plan policiesPerform prior authorization, concurrent, and retrospective reviewsApply InterQual, MCG, and health plan guidelines to determine medical necessityParticipate in peer-to-peer discussions with providers when neededCollaborate with UM nurses and medical directors to support appropriate care decisionsEnsure compliance with CMS, NCQA, and URAC standardsRequirementsMD or DO degreeBoard Certification preferredActive unrestricted medical license (any state)Utilization Management experience within a health planExperience with Medicare/Medicaid and commercial plans preferred
