Resource Teacher

Interventionist: Resource Teacher St. John School, San Francisco is a TK-8 school that has been providing excellence in Catholic education since 1917. Educators focus on teaching the students to be active Christians, responsible individuals, life-long learners, effective communicators and problem solvers. The candidate will be able to provide support via small group and/or one on one instruction to students in need of extra support in ELA and Math, as well as partner with the teachers and administration. Qualifications and job description: Candidates must possess: ● A Bachelor's degree ● A valid California Teaching credential* (or a reciprocal credential from another state) ● Classroom management skills ● Teaching experience with children ● Demonstrated communication skills with parents, faculty, and students ● Ability to utilize technology in a classroom environment and to integrate technology on a daily basis ● Commitment to excellence and rigor Job Responsibilities * Provide learning support to students with learning needs * Identify and plan for students who need assistance with reading and math * Coordinate with teachers in developing Learning Resource Plans for students * Maintain current documentation of students with learning differences * Attend SST meetings with parents and staff * Attend IEP meetings with parents and staff from the Local Unified School district * If the candidate does not yet possess a valid California teaching credential, (s)he must acquire one within three years of the date of hire.
