Job Title: Local Contract - Occupational Therapist Number of positions: 1Years of experience: One to three yearsShift: Day shifts- 40 hoursDuration: 13 weeksStart Date: 05/05/2024Hourly pay: $58.97OT: 1.5Weekly Pay: $2,211.38JOB DESCRIPTIONSummaryDepartment: Occupational TherapyShift Timings: 07:00 - 15:30 Hours - Monday to Friday (5 days/8 hours).Per week: 40 HoursRoles & ResponsibilitiesConducting physical and psychological assessments of clients and developing or following a treatment plan.Assessing home and work environments of clients and deciding what adjustments are needed.Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities.Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.Preparing clients for a return to work.Educating caregivers and family members of clients on patient care.Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.Maintaining professional knowledge and the technical progress in order to provide clients with the best treatment program available.Complying with federal, state, and local certification requirements.Evaluating patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health.Minimum QualificationsInpatient Rehab; performing evaluations and treatments for primarily neurological conditions including stroke, brain injury, multi-trauma, post spine surgery;electronic medical record - Cerner/Onechart; typically assigned4-6 patients per day with expectation of billing 24 units per day.Work schedule Monday - Friday with rotating weekends. QUALIFICATIONSBLS and ACLSNational Institutes of Health (NIH)Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.The ability to stand for extended periods.Strong technical skills.Knowledge of medical terminologyPassionate about patient careRequires a minimum of two years of current Occupational Therapist experience.Graduate from a fully accredited Occupational Therapist programActive unencumbered California state licenseOne year of Cerner experience Requirements• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.ABOUT HEALTHCARE STAFFING PLUSHealthcare Staffing Plus is a US based national per diem, local contract, and locum tenens agency.
