Hiring: General Services / Facilities Support Specialist (Central Florida)We are looking for a dedicated and reliable General Services / Facilities Support Specialist to join our team in the Central Florida region. This is a highly visible, hands-on role supporting facilities, logistics, and emergency operations.Basic RequirementsAbility to speak and understand EnglishHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid Florida Driver's License with reliable transportationAbility to pass Level 2 background screening and MVR checkStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and follow directivesProfessional, courteous, and respectful attitudeRequired ExperienceMinimum 1 year in supply/warehouse management6+ months experience in:Fleet/vehicle maintenanceOSHA and safety regulationsFacility/site inspectionsIT equipment handlingMoving heavy furniture using handcarts/dolliesAbility to lift up to 50 lbsFamiliarity with Central Florida region and GPS navigationExperience supporting disaster management activitiesDriving & Travel RequirementsMay drive state vehicles during emergencies across Central Region (Polk, Highlands, Hardee)Occasional overnight travel in Suncoast Region (rare; typically during emergency situations)Primary reporting location: Lakeland, FL (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM)Key ResponsibilitiesManage PPE and inventory distribution systemsMaintain Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) and trailersPerform warehouse organization and inventory controlConduct facility inspections and ensure safety complianceSupport internal/external office moves and furniture setupManage key systems and keycard access across multiple sitesAssist IT team with equipment relocation and large-scale movesInstall office equipment (whiteboards, boards, fixtures)Monitor facility conditions (lighting, AC, etc.)Maintain vehicle logs and ensure compliance with policiesHandle surplus equipment disposal per guidelinesSupport disaster preparedness and recovery operationsAdditional ResponsibilitiesAssist during hurricanes and emergency situationsEnsure all facilities meet safety standards before leaving sitesHandle on-site incidents professionally (including escalation when needed)Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across locationsWork EnvironmentThis role offers a dynamic and diverse work environment where no two days are the same.
