Biologics Supply Planning coordinator

General Summary:The Biologics Commercial Supply Planning Senior coordinator will be responsible for executingkey supply chain commercial and clinical activities for a late-stage biologic program. Vertex israpidly expanding its portfolio and commercializing a pipeline of exciting new therapies. We aregrowing our capabilities to support the biologics commercial supply chain and manufacturing ofthese therapies.This role will be responsible for setting up and testing planning / execution systems andperforming various supply planning and inventory management activities. The global supplychain planning activities also include testing and integrating processes and systems to deliver abest-in-class supply chain.This role will report to the Sr Director Biologics Commercial Supply Chain within the SupplyChain Management organization and the Biopharmaceutical Sciences and ManufacturingOperations (BSMO) division.Key Duties and Responsibilities:• Identify and define master data elements needed to successfully set up Oracle OPM andMaestro Rapid Response execution and planning system.• Perform and test required master data setups at both Oracle OPM and Maestro RapidResponse to enable execution and planning activities.• Coordinate and execute monthly inventory reconciliation activities using CMO and OracleOPM data. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement optimal / efficient inventoryreconciliation processes.• Support supply planning processes, documentation, and implementation.• Drive excellence in end-to-end operations through management of key supply chain KPI’s.Identify operational efficiency and continuous improvement opportunities across the supplychain to deliver a best-in-class supply chain.• Build strong relationships with External Manufacturing, Quality, Finance and other functions,foster team culture and build trust with colleagues to deliver optimal and efficient supplyplanning processes.• Champion the culture of quality and ensure that all activities and documentation comply withglobal regulatory requirements. Understand and implement processes and controls that alignwith evolving Health Authority regulatory expectations.• Performs other duties as assigned.Experience, knowledge and skills:• 5+ years progressive experience in supply chain systems setup and processesimplementation in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Biologics and injectable products.• Experience managing and navigating a complex global supply chain network.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, often addressing novel/unusual situations andexercising judgement based on significant technical experience.• Proven ability to innovate and implement practical, compliant solutions, work seamlesslyacross teams, and develop excellent partnerships with peers.• Demonstrated understanding of the principles and regulations associated with Biologics orinjectables supply chain operations.• Sense of urgency to deliver quality results in a highly ethical and professional manner.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complexissues and solutions.• Excellent and reliable team player. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other functionalareas, build, and sustain trust at all levels of the organization.• Experience in Oracle ERP OPM master data setups.• Flexibility and versatility as the Biologics Commercial supply chain team and business evolve.Education:Bachelor& degree in a scientific or business discipline
