Irrigation Technician

Position Summary:This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that manages and checks irrigation systems by managing all the controller and chain functions of the control. Responsible for testing and repairing irrigation system and performing the operation, installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems.Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:Locates, excavates, and repairs or replaces damaged or malfunctioning equipmentDiagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and monitor all aspects of residential irrigation systems, including valve and manifold repair and rebuildingInstall and maintain new residential systemsImprove irrigation systems by accurately and timely completing work order repairsTest soil and vegetation to determine irrigation needsMap out areas for irrigation installationDig trenches and install pipes and linesInstall pumps and electrical timersConduct routine maintenance checksTests complete irrigation systems for proper functioning of valves and timersEstablish and maintain client relationships and provide excellent customer serviceParticipates with all Snow Removal eventsAssist with other duties as assigned
