The position for Junoir Network/Telecommunications Engineer at role located in Springfield, VA. This position focuses on the administration, maintenance, and security of voice, video, and data communications networks.Core ResponsibilitiesNetwork Operations: Identify, analyze, and resolve network incidents while maintaining performance to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Technical Guidance: Provide advice, training, and technical guidance to end-users and junior network personnel.Systems Maintenance: Administer hardware and software compatibility, including patching (STIGs) and security compliance.Lifecycle Support: Determine network specifications, interface with vendors for outage resolution, and participate in special infrastructure projects.Key RequirementsClearance: Active Top Secret/SCI.Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience.Education: BA/BS degree (additional experience may be substituted).Certifications: * CCNA (Required).IAT Level II compliance (DoD 8570).ITIL V4 Foundation (must obtain within six months).Technical Skills: Proficiency in Cisco IOS, routing/switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and STIG patching.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced certifications like CCNP or Juniper equivalents.Experience with VoIP/VTC systems and HAIPE encryption devices.Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Citrix) and data center networking.Experience with firewall rule sets and ACL troubleshooting.
