Electrical Engineer
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide technical expertise and engineering support for equipment and system improvements in a heavy industrial environment. This role partners closely with maintenance, production, and management teams to enhance reliability, safety, and performance while supporting business objectives at the client site. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support and consulting to management and operations in electrical engineering disciplinesSupport maintenance and production personnel in the implementation of equipment and system improvementsApply knowledge of power systems, NEC, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety standardsDesign, review, and develop P&IDs and electrical documentationSupport the design, commissioning, and start-up of AC drive systemsAssist with commissioning and start-up activities for new or modified equipmentOptimize equipment quality, cost, availability, and performance through engineering best practicesPrepare, analyze, and present technical reports by collecting and summarizing data, trends, and findingsProvide regular project and technical updates to internal stakeholdersCoordinate third-party engineering services from scope definition through project closeoutEnsure new deployments integrate seamlessly with existing processes and systemsAnticipate and adopt innovative digital tools and technologies that support business growthCollaborate effectively across engineering, operations, and construction tradesSupport continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization effortsObserve safety requirements, review accident/incident reports, and assist in investigations as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited universityMinimum of 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environmentStrong technical writing and documentation skillsSolid understanding of commissioning and start-up activitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills across technical and non-technical teamsPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) registration (highly preferred, not required)Experience supporting large-scale industrial facilities or heavy manufacturing operationsFamiliarity with third-party engineering coordination and project executionCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to build partnerships and work collaboratively toward shared objectivesProven ability to manage priorities efficiently and drive continuous improvementSafety-focused mindset with attention to regulatory and compliance standardsPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.Hargrove CultureWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
