Project EngineerChattanooga AreaSpeciality ChemicalsA growing specialty chemical manufacturer in the Chattanooga area is hiring a Project Engineer to own capital projects end to end on a lean, hands-on technical team. This site has recently expanded production capacity and offers real project ownership rather than design work routed through a larger corporate engineering group.Responsibilities:Manage capital projects in the $10K to $1M range, covering scope definition, design coordination, procurement, construction oversight, and startupCoordinate with operations and maintenance throughout the project lifecycle to make sure new equipment and processes integrate cleanly into daily plant operationsManage contractors and vendors on site during installation and constructionLead or support pre-startup safety reviews and commissioning activities, troubleshooting issues as new equipment comes onlineSupport Process Safety actions related to projectes such as MOCs and PHAsProvide engineering support to ongoing plant operations between capital projects, including troubleshooting and reliability improvementsRequirements:BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering5-10 years in a plant or process engineering role with hands-on project experienceBatch or specialty chemical manufacturing background preferredFamiliarity with OSHA PSM, ASME, API, NFPA, NEC, RAGAGEP, and other applicable codes or standards preferred.Authorised to work in the United States without sponsorship
