All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to any protected characteristics.What you will be doing:With this new role, you'll have an opportunity to work on the following:Process DesignSupport Manufacturing Component Owner in DFM sessions for CMC components to improve manufacturability.Work with component design engineering to define best dimensioning scheme around functional need of components/design intent, limitations of GDT, and current measurement technologiesWork with component design to create characteristic matrix plan.Collaborate with HTC team and design teams to transition new products from development to manufacturing.Capability Acquisition* Support Capability Acquisition Lead Engineer to spec and procure measurement equipment to industrialize the inspection of CMC products.Process DevelopmentComplete MSA Studies, Inspection plans.Define and Implement Pre and Post coating Inspection methods.Create and Implement Visual Inspection techniques utilizing the latest automation technologies.Collaborate with HTC team and design teams to transition new products from development to manufacturing.Who we're looking for:At Rolls-Royce we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. They are the fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.Basic Requirements:Associate's Degree plus 3 years of related engineering experienceBachelor's Degree plus 1 year of related engineering experienceMaster's DegreeJD/Ph.D.In lieu of a degree, 5 years of related engineering experienceIn order to be considered for this role you must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent ResidentPreferred:Experience with Zeiss Calypso software and Siemens NXExperience with GOMUnderstanding Windows computer systems, file permissions, network drivesBasic understanding of manufacturing processes and technologiesExperience with aerospace materials, tolerances and processes, PFMEA, PPAP, Process Excellence (six sigma), and Lean Manufacturing best practices is strongly desirable.Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as are interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, quantitative, analytical, organizational, and follow up skills.Ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects/programs.Experience in the management and implementation of manufacturing technologies and processes using an MRCL or Technology Readiness Level (TRL) gated process, would be an advantage.What we offer:We offer excellent development opportunities, a competitive salary, and exceptional benefits.
