Will also be required to maintain an active adjusters license in states where required. This position handles homeowner policy claims requiring in-depth policy interpretation, claim investigation, damage assessment, liability determination, and settlement negotiation. The role owns the entire claim process and serves as the primary point of contact to facilitate claim resolution. This position uses in-depth expertise to manage homeowner property damage losses pertaining to water, fire, smoke, wind, hail, incidental and the alike. This position works within prescribed authority to resolve claims proactively and accurately and escalates claims with exposures exceeding financial authority or complexity to supervisor. Position Title: Claims Sr Fld Rep Liability (USFCL2L)Job Summary (continued)This position supports Specialty Liability Homeowner Claims:Adjusts low to moderately complex claims.Conducts thorough investigations by obtaining statements from customers, determine policy coverage, determine liability, scoping damages, negotiating settlements, explaining claim determination, and issuing outcomes through payment and/or documentation.Explains coverage details to policyholders.Communicates liability decisions to stakeholders including customers, claimants, claim specialists, and Underwriting.Analyzes duties owed and breached by all potential responsible parties and determines liability percentage for each party.Evaluates property damage claims promptly including scoping of physical property damages and refers scope of damage to department estimators, local field support or independent adjuster to workup and estimate for the claimed damages.Interacts professionally and courteously with stakeholders including policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, repair facilities, contractors, police and fire departments, state and country fraud and arson specialists, special investigators, attorneys, medical professionals and other persons incident to the investigation and processing of claims.Handles and documents claim files in compliance with regulatory requirements.Authorizes and issues claim payments to customers, repair facilities, rental vendors, and others.Values curiosity and a willingness to grow through learning on-the-job and incorporating new information or changes into daily tasks.Performs other duties as assigned while consistently meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.Workplace & When You'll StartStart Date: Monday, September 30thWorkplace: Farmers believes in a culture of collaboration, creativity, and innovation, which thrives when we have the ability to work flexibly in a virtual setting as well as the opportunity to be together in person.
