College & Career Counselor ~ Temporary Contract (1) Atascadero High School (1) ACE Academy / Paloma Creek High School DEADLINE: UNTIL FILLED (First review of applications - May 1, 2026) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential In School Counseling 2. Ability to Pass DOJ Background/Fingerprint Check 3. Tuberculosis Clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 1. Team player enthusiastic about working in a collaborative environment 2. Effective personal and academic counseling techniques and procedures 3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with children and adults 4. Effective time management and organization systems 5. Ability to develop and implement classroom guidance lessons to foster personal and school success 6. Provide personal, academic, social, and career counseling 7. Consultation with parents and teachers to promote cooperative efforts in meeting student needs 8. Strong technology skills and familiarity with Student Information Systems 9. Assists with the orientation and scheduling of students 10. Provides families with resource information as needed 11. Assists with student body activities, school programs, committee assignments, and supervision of students 12. Appropriate ELL Authorization, Desired SALARY: Placement on Certificated Salary Schedule ($58,273 to $95,537) Master's Degree - 2% on base annual salary Doctorate Degree - additional 2% on base annual salary National Board Certification - additional $1,000 15 years creditable experience may be accepted upon verification (Based on 200 work days - $62,997 - $103,283)
