Finance AI Lead

Dematic is establishing a new Finance AI team to accelerate the responsible adoption of AI automation across the function. The lead for Strategy & Enablement in the Finance AI area will coordinate the full scope of initiatives related to Finance AI. This involves establishing direction, identifying and ranking use cases, maintaining robust oversight, and promoting adoption and value achievement.This role serves as the main bridge between Finance leadership, process owners, and AI/technology teams. It ensures AI solutions address real Finance problems, align with enterprise standards, and deliver measurable business impact. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will do in This Role:Finance AI Vision & StrategyOwn and articulate the AI vision for Global Finance, aligned with Dematic’s enterprise digital, data, and automation strategyDefine, maintain, and evolve the roadmap for financial artificial intelligence, balancing near-term impact with long-term capability developmentTranslate executive leadership priorities into a prioritized portfolio of AI-enabled initiativesContinuously assess emerging AI capabilities and their applicability to Finance use casesAI Use Case Identification & Business ValuePartner with Finance teams (FP&A, Function Controlling, Project Management, Accounting, etc.) to identify AI-ready opportunitiesTranslate Finance workflows, decision processes, and challenges into clear, actionable AI use casesDevelop case studies and benefit analysis models, including efficiency gains, cost savings, risk reduction, and decision-quality improvementsSupport prioritization of initiatives based on value, feasibility, risk, and business readinessBusiness Partnership & EnablementAct as the primary liaison between Finance process owners and AI technical teams, ensuring shared understanding of requirements and constraintsEnsure Finance domain knowledge, controls, and business logic are embedded into AI solution developmentAdvocate for practical, usable solutions that resolve real problems and fit Finance ways of workingGovernance, Risk & ComplianceOwn AI governance for Finance, including data privacy, model risk management, audit readiness, and regulatory complianceEnsure AI solutions align with financial controls, internal governance standards, and external regulationsEstablish Finance AI standards, policies, and operating models for responsible and ethical AI usePartner with Risk, Compliance, IT, and Internal Audit to ensure transparency and controlDelivery Oversight, Testing & AdoptionCoordinate pilot programs and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with Finance end usersValidate outputs, capture feedback, and ensure solutions meet business and control requirementsLead change management, training, and AI literacy across the Finance organizationDevelop user materials, job aids, and communication plans to support adoption and behavioral changeValue Realization & Ongoing Performance ManagementDefine and analyze key performance indicators and value realization metrics for Finance AI initiativesAssess live AI solutions to ensure continued performance, accuracy, and adoptionSurface issues, risks, and improvement opportunities to technical and Finance leadershipProvide regular executive updates to leadership on progress, benefits, and roadmapTechnology & Architecture AlignmentPartner closely with IT, Digital, and Data teams on AI architecture, platforms, security, and scalabilityEnsure Finance AI solutions leverage enterprise-aligned, secure, and reusable technology foundationsBalance innovation speed with sustainability, control, and integrationWhat We Are Looking For:7+ years expertise in Finance, Finance Transformation, FP&A, Controllership, Analytics, or Digital Strategy rolesStrong understanding of Finance processes, controls, and regulatory environmentsProven track record of translating business needs into structured requirements and initiativesExperience leading cross-functional initiatives across Finance or technology teamsStrong executive communication, business partnership, and influencing skillsExperience driving analytics, automation, AI, or digital transformation initiativesFamiliarity with AI / ML concepts and data platforms (hands-on technical development not required)Experience developing business cases and tracking return on investmentExposure to ERP platforms such as SAPExperience in global, matrixed organizationsOrganizational change or transformation leadership experience
