Your Role With Us:
Possesses and uses knowledge to obtain a technically diagnostic angiogram in accordance with physicians needs.
Utilizes knowledge, skills, education and lean training to ensure that the patient is monitored and treated within best practices.
Able to operate and trouble shoot all equipment used to obtain angiographic images and manage patients including x-ray equipment.
Demonstrates ability to utilize sterile technique throughout all phases of daily job duties. 5. Follows Salem Hospital and OSHA standards for minimizing exposure to blood borne pathogens.
Keeps current on new equipment and technology used in the department.
Uses interpersonal skills which convey a positive and supportive attitude (e.g., active listening, good communication, telephone etiquette); Anticipates needs and shares information with other team members .
Willingness to cross train to subspecialty areas as required by supervisor for electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and endovascular procedures.
Seeks and utilizes evidence based practice; Actively engaged in continuous professional development; Maintains good working knowledge of unit based performance and outcomes.
Demonstrates ability to perform hemodynamic monitoring data entry consistent with ACC Cath PCI guidelines with accuracy.
Demonstrates the ability to use the Radiology Information System (RIS) and the Hospital Information System (HIS).
Is able to reconcile information between the systems and manage daily orders, making corrections when needed; Adequately prepares patient for exam, which includes pre-post explanation of exam in accordance with customer service standards.
Adheres to SH Imaging Department Mediation Reconciliation protocol; Demonstrates ongoing competency in the processes involved in the operation of the Omnicell unit.
Consistently archives, annotates, and begins/ends procedures; Consistently documents the procedural equipment, hemodynamics, lesion documentation and interventions accurately.
Demonstrates an understanding of ALARA guidelines by strictly adhering to the Imaging Department’s Radiation Safety policies and procedures.

Background/Expertise:
Associate of Sciences required. Bachelor Degree preferred.
BLS required (American Heart Association)
ACLS required within 6-months of date of hire.
ARRT National Radiology License required.
OBMI License (Sonography) required.
A year of angiography experience preferred,
Intermediate to advanced computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, basic level or above skills with MS Office Suite ( including Excel, Power Point, and Word), and ability to learn quickly to navigate information technology associated with the position ( e.g. Epic, McKesson Cardiology, Clarity, Workbench Reporting, Cognos) and use Electronic Health Record information and tools.
