DescriptionPosition Title: Plant Controller Reports to: General Manager/CFO Location: Duncan, SC SUMMARY:As a core member of the plant management team, the controller is responsible for analysis, reporting, and control of plant product costs and financial topics. In this role, the controller serves as a consultant for the plant leadership team on business related topics, sharing financial results and managing actions for cost control. This position also serves as a liaison to corporate accounting and executive leadership, presenting monthly/periodic cost data to US and German executive management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides cost analysis for goods and services as it relates to the production processCollect & analyze production data and plant KPIsEvaluate product costs; identify solutions for costing issuesDesign, create, and implement best practices and process improvementsDevelop and implement annual departmental budgets and business plan for plantMonitor and control departmental budgetsDevelop periodic annual forecastsManage fixed asset planning & control for plantPartner with Logistics Manager on inventory discrepancies and problem resolutionCoordinate annual physical inventory and cycle countsServe as local expert for plant production systemManage month-end closing for plantPrepare relevant journal entries for month-end/year-end closing and coordinate with corporate accounting teamKnowledge in SAP Conduct audits and assessments to identify potential areas of risk and develop mitigation strategies. Understand and maintain audit compliance as it relates to the Plant Controller function. This would include: IATF, ISO, and TISAX.Follow all safety protocols and guidelines established by the company. Ensures safe practices and a safety-first mindset among coworkers.Additional duties as needed and assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Minimum Requirement:Manufacturing accounting experienceBS Accounting/Business or MBA with accounting concentrationStrong manufacturing systems experienceProficiency in MS Office, especially ExcelSAP experience desiredGerman language helpful AF123
