Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.An opportunity is available for a part-time Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in a school setting located in Lockport, NY. This contract position focuses on delivering specialized instruction tailored to individual education plans, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure effective delivery of educational services.Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support academic and social development.Utilize various teaching techniques and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.Qualifications & Desired Experience:Valid teaching certification in Special Education.Experience working with students who have a range of disabilities.Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.Location: Lockport, New YorkBenefits of this contract role include the flexibility of part-time hours, providing a balanced professional schedule.
