Registered Dental Hygienist
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, while ensuring patient comfort.
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
Assist with chairside procedures, including providing support during treatments such as restorations or extractions.
Utilize dental imaging and radiography equipment to capture diagnostic images, adhering to aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care tailored to pediatric and adult patients.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA and medical coding standards.
Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments, managing medical records securely, and following proper aseptic techniques.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient patient management.
Assist with administrative tasks related to patient care coordination, appointment scheduling, and documentation review.
Experience
Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state certification.
Proven experience in general dentistry; pediatric dentistry experience is a plus.
Familiarity with dental office software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, along with EMR systems.
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding standards.
Prior experience working in dental clinics or healthcare settings emphasizing patient care and documentation accuracy.
Skills in four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting, vital signs measurement, and pediatric patient management are highly desirable.
