Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsThe scheduler is responsible for the accurate scheduling of surgical and other procedures in the various surgical and procedural areas.What you will do in this role:Coordinates the scheduling of procedures with physicians, physician offices, and anesthesiologists according to established scheduling guidelines.Ensures that necessary equipment is available for all scheduled procedures.Communicates additions, cancellations and special requests of schedule to all appropriate parties.Collects patient demographic and insurance data at time of procedure scheduling.Utilizes the computerized scheduling system and supports updates as available.Serves as preceptor to new employees.What qualifications you will need:Education: High School Graduate or GED preferred. Secretarial, computer and clerical skills acquired through formal education and training also preferred.Experience: Six months experience in office functions acquired through hospital or medical office work preferred. Ability to utilize basic office equipment, including computer terminals.Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required: NoneMethodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant has been nationally recognized for its record setting kidney, liver and pancreas transplant programs.
