CGP: Senior Tax Accountant (Indirect Tax)

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $43.00 to $48.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities:Prepare and submit monthly sales and use tax filings across multiple states and jurisdictionsMaintain compliance calendars for property taxes, licenses, and other regulatory deadlinesSupport audits by gathering documentation and coordinating with city and state agenciesRecord journal entries and reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts during close cyclesServe as a resource for tax-related inquiries, including product taxability and exemption certificates Requirements:Minimum of 2+ years in tax accounting, with exposure to indirect taxes such as sales, use, and property tax2-5+ years of general accounting experience, including journal entries and reconciliationsProficient in Excel functions such as pivot tables, lookups, and filters for handling large datasetsComfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple deadlinesFamiliarity with accounting software; experience with PDI is helpful but not required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related disciplineStrong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing tax filings and financial recordsAbility to interpret tax regulations and apply them across multi-location operationsEffective communicator with strong written and verbal skills for cross-functional collaborationDemonstrated initiative and reliability in completing tasks with minimal supervisionREF #51133
