We are committed to continuous improvement and learning, exceptional quality, connecting with our customers, and good relationships with our employees.What You Will Be DoingInexperienced benchmen may start out crating saws while learning to work safely in the saw production environmentOperate alternately more than one type of machine tool such as hammers, stretcher rolls, plate leveling machines, gauge grinders and hammer grinders etc.Use hand tools and measuring instrumentsSet-up and operate all available machine toolsPerform progressive operations on work involving close tolerances or unusual requirementsPerform quality checksWear PPEUses skillfully all hand tools and measuring instrumentsPerform complex operations in support of production operations under limited supervisionAdditional duties as assignedWhat We Are Looking ForMechanical aptitudeAbility to accurately use hammer, level, gauges, micrometers and calipers2+ years manufacturing production experienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required)Vocational trade school or equivalent program a plusFamiliarity with working properties of various materials to match customer requirementsDemonstrated lean techniques and ability to meet TAKT timesAbility to work as part of a team, with behavior that upholds company values and standardsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsPromote safety in the workplace and adhere to the safety standards of the companyAbility to lift to 50 lbs. frequently.
