Our growing product ecosystem includes flight controllers, ESCs, telemetry radios, video transmitters, sensors, and other critical drone electronics designed for high reliability, NDAA compliance, and large-scale manufacturing .
We are expanding our engineering team and seeking a talented Electronics Engineer to design next-generation drone electronics platforms.
Position Overview
The Electronics Engineer will design, prototype, and validate high-performance PCB systems used in unmanned aircraft . This role focuses heavily on embedded electronics design for drones , including flight control systems, RF communication hardware, power electronics, and sensor interfaces.
You will work closely with mechanical engineers, firmware developers, and manufacturing teams to bring products from concept to full-scale production.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering , rapid product development, and seeing their designs move quickly into real-world deployment.
Key Responsibilities
PCB & Electronics Design
* Design multilayer PCB assemblies for drone electronics including:
* * Flight controllers
* Electronic speed controllers (ESCs)
* RF communication systems
* Telemetry and GPS modules
* Video transmission systems
* Perform schematic capture and PCB layout using modern EDA tools (KiCad, Altium, or similar)
* Design for high-speed digital, RF, and power electronics applications
* Optimize PCB layouts for signal integrity, EMI reduction, and thermal performance
System Integration
* Integrate components such as:
* * Microcontrollers (STM32 and similar)
* IMUs, barometers, and sensors
* GNSS modules
* RF transceivers and telemetry radios
* Power management systems
* Collaborate with firmware engineers on hardware/firmware integration
Prototyping & Testing
* Build and validate prototype electronics
* Debug circuits using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
* Develop test procedures and validation plans
* Support field testing of UAS platforms
Manufacturing Support
* Prepare designs for high-volume manufacturing
* Create:
* * BOMs
* Assembly documentation
* Test procedures
* Work with internal production teams to support SMT assembly and product scaling
Continuous Improvement
* Evaluate new electronic components and technologies
* Improve reliability, manufacturability, and performance of existing products
* Participate in product architecture and roadmap planning
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
* 3+ years of PCB design experience
* Experience with multilayer PCB layout
* Strong understanding of:
* * Digital electronics
* Power electronics
* Analog signal conditioning
* Experience debugging hardware using lab instrumentation
* Familiarity with embedded microcontrollers and communication protocols such as:
* * SPI
* I2C
* UART
* CAN
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience designing electronics for drones, robotics, or aerospace systems
* Experience with RF circuit design (sub-GHz, 2.4 GHz, or 5.8 GHz)
* Familiarity with BLDC motor control or ESC design
* Experience with sensor integration (IMU, GNSS, barometer)
* Knowledge of EMI/EMC best practices
* Experience designing electronics for high-volume manufacturing

* Hands-on prototyping and soldering skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment
