We are a highly relational organization and value long-term partnerships over transactions by working closely with our customers to deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes.The Sr. Staff Accountant is responsible for timely and accurate support of month-end close activities, reconciliations, reporting, analysis, and other accounting functions. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers exposure across multiple areas of the business and the opportunity to contribute to operational and financial process improvements.This role is well-suited for someone who is ambitious, takes ownership of their work, and is looking to grow their accounting career within a fast-paced organization. The Sr. Staff Accountant will work closely with the CFO and leadership team, with the opportunity to take on increased responsibility and potentially grow into a supervisory role over time based on performance and initiative.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGFinancial and operational transaction processing in General Ledgers for business operations.Participation in accurate and timely closing of General ledgers on a monthly basis.Balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts with large transactional volumes.Monthly reconciliation of agent accounts.Assist in all areas of month-end close, as needed.Prepare and distribute reports and provide analysis/support as needed.Complete ad hoc projects as needed.Respond to questions and communicate responses to operations and other functional areas.Identify process improvement opportunities relating to the individual’s area of responsibility.Assist in rectifying outstanding AR balances.AP audit and transaction processing.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong understanding of accounting fundamentals.Proficient in Microsoft Excel skills required; Power BI experience nice to have.Highly detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability.Experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain industries preferred.PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent2–5 years of accounting experience preferred***Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
