This individual will bring a solid understanding of payroll compliance, including prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting, along with the ability to navigate complex payroll systems and reconcile data across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable collaborating cross-functionally to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all payroll-related processes.ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end weekly payroll processing for a multi-site workforce, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper approvalsReview and reconcile employee time data, including adjustments, corrections, and integration between timekeeping and payroll systemsAdminister payroll-related deductions and contributions, including retirement plans, benefits, and employee reimbursementsPrepare and submit required retirement contribution reports and ensure alignment with plan guidelines and deadlinesHandle certified payroll reporting and ensure compliance with prevailing wage regulations and applicable labor lawsSupport payroll tax compliance by preparing filings, reconciling liabilities, and assisting with quarterly and annual reporting requirementsMaintain accurate payroll records and perform regular reconciliations between payroll, general ledger, and job costing systemsPartner cross-functionally with HR and accounting to ensure accurate employee setup, resolve discrepancies, and support audits and reporting needsQualifications3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in construction Proven experience with certified payroll / prevailing wage Experience with HCSS and/or Power Tools (or similar construction ERP systems) Strong understanding of Payroll tax compliance (federal and Florida) Knowledge of 401(k) processing and reporting Proficient in Microsoft Excel (reconciliations, data validation) High level of accuracy, organization, and ability to meet strict deadlines Knowledge of job costing and cost code structures Familiarity with ACA compliance and benefits administrationAt Sanford Rose Associates - JFSPartners, we specialize in Finance & Accounting, Legal, and Information Technology recruitment, dedicated to helping professionals like you discover the perfect career opportunities.
