Environmental Inspector/Field Engineer
Brief DescriptionAt Conductor Power, we’re looking for a diligent and knowledgeable Environmental Inspector/Field Engineer to support our utility-scale renewable energy construction project in Jal, New Mexico. This full-time, on-site role primarily focuses on environmental compliance while also supporting field engineering functions as needed.You’ll play a vital role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and will collaborate closely with site teams to proactively resolve issues and implement best practices. In addition, you’ll assist with engineering-related tasks such as field documentation, quality checks, and technical coordination.RequirementsMinimum of three years of environmental compliance or inspection experience, preferably in construction or renewable energyKnowledge of environmental regulations including SWPPP, SPCC, Clean Water Act, NEPA, and species/cultural resource protectionsAbility to monitor field activities and report on compliance accurately and professionallyProficient in Microsoft Office and inspection reporting toolsStrong attention to detail, documentation skills, and problem-solving abilityValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordMust have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishEducation/ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredCollege coursework in environmental science, construction, or related fields a plusFamiliarity with renewable energy construction practices preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditions and navigate active construction sites with uneven terrainOccasional lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, and standingFrequent computer use, visual assessments, and verbal communication for reporting and team coordinationBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, and AD&D Insurance401(k) with employer 6% matchEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid Time Off (PTO)TelemedicineEmployee Discount ProgramTravel100% travel to project site in MontanaSummaryThis is a summary of duties.
