Job Description Lead Fitter / WelderPay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experienceShifts Available:Day Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am to 2:30pmNights: Monday - Thursday 3:00pm to 1:30am - Plus a $1.00 shift differentialJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Lead Fitter/Welder responsible for fabricating a variety of miscellaneous metal projects. This role involves cutting, fitting, and welding metal components using flame-cutting and hand-welding equipment while maintaining quality and safety standards.Essential FunctionsPrepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces to be weldedMaintain, organize, and keep work areas and equipment in proper operating conditionHand-weld and/or flame-cut equipment to join metal componentsCut and scarf using an oxy-acetylene torchPerform structural welding using FCAW and SMAW processesAlign and fit parts according to specifications using jacks, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammersProperly assemble and disassemble weld setupsRemove high spots and cut bevels using hand files, portable grinders, and cutting torchesReshape metal workpieces to meet specificationsPerform additional duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of metal fabrication and basic shop equipmentProficiency in MIG welding with the ability to pass a welding testTIG welding experience is a plusAbility to read and interpret blueprintsStrong adaptability and ability to work under pressureAbility to multitask and meet deadlinesQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentMinimum of two years of experience in a structural welding environmentAbility to pass a Fillet Weld TestPhysical RequirementsAbility to move objects and provide physical support over extended periods without fatigueFrequently lift and move materials or equipment up to 50 poundsRequires constant movement, manual dexterity, coordination, and staminaCompany DescriptionConnecting Companies with Good Employees, and Employees with Good Companies!!Company DescriptionConnecting Companies with Good Employees, and Employees with Good Companies!!
