Infusion Nurse- Part Time- Westborough, MA

Infusion related experience is preferred; the candidate must be proficient at placing peripheral IV catheters. Experience accessing ports is a plus but not required. This position will be part time 1-2 days/week, 8a-4:30p.ResponsibilitiesComplete general patient assessment and obtain vital signsEstablish IV access per policyPrepare, administer and document infusions/injections per order from the physicianMonitor for infusion related reactions. Follow infusion reaction protocol and notify physicians if any concerns for infusion related reactionsEducate patients and caregivers on treatments and associated side effectsOpen and close infusion suite using daily log, ensuring proper cleanliness, sterilization and infection controlSend follow up to ordering physicians regarding patient's status and infusion experienceAssist medical assistant in managing and maintaining adequate supply and medication inventorySchedule patients for follow up appointmentsRequirementsRequirementsEducation/qualification RequirementsRegistered Nurse with current MA licenseCurrent BLS certificationMinimum of 2 years nursing experience. Infusion experience highly preferred.Proficient peripheral IV skills requiredExcellent interpersonal skills and able to work in a team focused environmentHigh level of professionalismBilingual is a plus
