Daytime Server South Fork Public House is looking for a friendly, reliable *Daytime Server* to join our team! *Typical hours:* 10:45 AM–3:00 PM *Schedule:* 5 days per week *Location:* South Fork Public House We’re looking for someone who: * Has *consistent daytime availability* * Is available to work *5 days per week* * Provides friendly, attentive service * Works well in a fast-paced restaurant environment * Is dependable, punctual, and a positive team player * Can stay organized and upbeat during busy shifts *MUST HAVE DAYTIME AVAILABILITY.* This position is primarily a daytime role, with typical shifts running approximately *10:45 AM–3:00 PM*. If you’re looking for a serving position with a great team, we’d love to hear from you! *Responsibilities* * Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit * Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast * Process sales transactions efficiently while upselling menu items like cocktails, wines, or specialty drinks to enhance the guest experience * Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards * Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests * Assist with food handling and preparation when necessary to support kitchen staff * Handle cash transactions accurately, process credit card payments, and balance cash drawers at shift end *Requirements* * Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments * Strong knowledge of POS systems * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest inquiries professionally * Ability to upsell menu items confidently including cocktails, spirits, wines, and specialty beverages * Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities * Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards in the food industry * Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is advantageous but not required * Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours * Previous host/hostess or cashiering experience is beneficial for guest relations roles Join us as a Server (daytime) where your enthusiasm fuels memorable dining moments!
