Press Brake OperatorSets-up and operates press brake to form various sizes, shapes, and types of sheet metal parts as specified by part blueprints to meet quality and production standards.Essential DutiesReads blueprints and production orders.Accurately uses a square, rule and protractor.Retrieves own parts and dies.Completes own setups; choosing and setting gauges.Verifies print to latest engineering revision and then verifies part is made to print specifications.Inspects part for any nonconformities including those of a cosmetic nature (i.e. scratches, dents, deformities).Arranges completed parts in an orderly fashion and moves finished parts to holding area.Keeps appropriate production records.Other DutiesServices press brake as required and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.Maintains cleanliness of work area and follows safe work practice rules.Performs other miscellaneous duties as required.Physical DemandsManual Dexterity: Work requires moderate speed and accuracy. Physical Effort: Work requires mostly moderate but some heavy muscular effort or difficult work positions. Working Conditions: More frequent exposure to disagreeable features. Hazards: Injury may require a doctor's care. Time lost for part of a day may be to receive medical treatment.
