Mammography Technologist

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing mammography procedures to assist in the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases. This role requires a strong understanding of diagnostic imaging techniques, patient care, and safety protocols. The Mammography Technologist will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging services. Responsibilities Perform mammography exams in accordance with established protocols and procedures. Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed. Collaborate with radiologists to discuss findings and ensure quality control. Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly. Educate patients about the procedure, addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Adhere to safety standards and protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff. Stay updated on advancements in mammography technology and techniques. Experience Certification in Mammography from an accredited institution is required. Experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred, with knowledge of CT, nuclear medicine, PET scans, and emergency medicine being advantageous. Familiarity with working in a Level I Trauma Center or emergency room setting is a plus. Strong understanding of human physiology as it relates to imaging techniques. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
