Flight Operations Planner

A growing private aviation company in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Flight Operations Planner to join its Flight Operations team. This role is ideal for someone interested in the aviation world who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute within a fast-paced operational environment.The organization is evolving from a highly tactical, reactive model to a more structured and proactive planning approach.This position plays a key role in reviewing, organizing, and preparing flights for execution - ensuring clean handoffs between planning and operations.The team supports 40-50 flights per day across a mix of wholesale brokered flights and direct membership clients.Key Responsibilities- Review all flights as they are added to the schedule to ensure trips are operationally feasible- Evaluate routing, aircraft capability, passenger load, and potential fuel stops- Identify issues early in the planning process- Manage day-to-day flight scheduling and planning- Support international flight operations, including customs coordination and permits- Help transition operations from reactive to proactive execution- Approximately 70% of the role is process-focused- Ensure accurate, clean handoffs between planning and operational teams- Collaborate with operations leadership as the department continues to scaleWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
