Job Description Faculty Positions Available: Physician-ScientistsOur organization is actively seeking to fill faculty roles at various ranks (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) for Physician-Scientists, including leadership positions within our team.We are looking for dynamic faculty members who are eager to establish an academic and laboratory-based translational research program. This will be done in close partnership with experienced basic, translational, and clinical researchers at our institution.Successful applicants will primarily focus on research within a dedicated laboratory space, supported by a substantial startup package. Additionally, they will be expected to engage in translating laboratory findings into clinical applications, as well as collaborating on research related to blood and marrow transplantation and cellular immunotherapy.Our medical center and children's hospital are prominent sites for various solid organ transplants, offering numerous collaborative opportunities in transplant immunology and regenerative medicine for both adults and children.We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative, mentoring, and supportive atmosphere, particularly for recent fellows and junior faculty members.Teaching duties will include supervising graduate students, research and clinical fellows, residents, and mid-level providers during laboratory, outpatient, and inpatient activities.Research FocusThe TCT/Hematologic Malignancies Division is dedicated to the advancement and application of innovative cell-based and immune therapies, including CAR-T, NK, vaccine, and gene therapies, as well as cell and vector engineering. Our focus also includes transplant immunology and both autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Candidates may choose to concentrate on specific hematological diseases based on their interests.This work is supported by core facilities, laboratory research space, a Cancer Center Clinical Trials Unit, a newly established cGMP and TCT laboratory, a well-characterized tumor sample repository, and a state-of-the-art Medical Center and Children's Hospital that opened in 2021, all situated on the Medical School campus. Our TCT program is fully FACT accredited for adult autologous and allogeneic BMT and immune effector cell therapy, offering a range of FDA-approved and experimental CAR-T therapies, along with other immune effector cells and gene therapies.QualificationsApplicants must possess an MD (or equivalent), have completed fellowships in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology, and preferably a TCT fellowship (or equivalent experience). Candidates should also be board eligible or certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, or Medical Oncology; or have completed fellowships in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Immunology, with board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, or Immunology.Compensation and BenefitsA comprehensive salary and benefits package will be offered, with academic appointments reflecting experience and qualifications. Faculty members may also qualify for federal student loan forgiveness programs.Compensation & BenefitsThe starting base salary range is $150,000 to $400,000, adjusted based on experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives and is subject to departmental compensation policies.
