We pair instruction with wraparound supports and work-based learning to move learners from enrollment to employment and long-term retention.Position SummaryThe Workforce Outreach Specialist is responsible for building and managing the front-end student pipeline that drives enrollment across Skilled US college partnerships. This role plays a critical part in executing recruitment strategies that align with institutional partners and Skilled US growth goals.The Specialist will engage directly with prospective students through community-based outreach, events, and partnerships to generate interest and guide individuals into postsecondary training opportunities. This role is essential to ensuring a consistent, high-quality pipeline of students into partner college programs, supporting enrollment, persistence, and long-term workforce outcomes.Core ResponsibilitiesRecruitment Strategy & Pipeline DevelopmentExecute recruitment strategies aligned with Skilled US partnership and enrollment goalsBuild and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective students across target communitiesIdentify outreach opportunities that align with college program offerings and workforce demandThis is a high-touch, high activity role: 30-40 outreach touchpoints per week via phone, text, email, or in-person; along with a follow-up protocol to help move prospective students from interest to enrollmentWork closely with the Business Development team and the Intake Enrollment Coordinator to drive enrollmentsCommunity Engagement & OutreachRepresent Skilled US at community events, job fairs, college fairs, and partner sitesDevelop relationships with community organizations, workforce agencies, and referral partnersDevelop and maintain active referral relationships with DTA offices, SNAP E&T partner organizations, adult basic education programs, GED/HISET providers, and public housing networks as key sourcing channels for eligible prospective scholarsConduct information sessions and presentations to prospective studentsEnrollment Support & ConversionGuide prospective students through the enrollment process in partnership with collegesMaintain consistent follow-up to support conversion from interest to enrollmentCoordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth handoff from recruitment to program entryPartnership AlignmentAlign recruitment activities with partner college priorities, program offerings, and enrollment targetsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure recruitment supports partnership successProvide feedback from the field to inform program design and outreach strategyData, Tracking & PerformanceTrack recruitment activities, pipeline metrics, and enrollment outcomesMaintain accurate data entry and reporting across systemsUse data to inform outreach strategy and improve recruitment performanceRequired Qualifications2+ years of experience in recruitment, outreach, admissions, or workforce developmentExperience working with diverse populations and community-based organizationsBilingual candidates strongly preferred, especially Spanish/English, Haitian, Creole/EnglishComfort with high-volume, goal-driven outreach environmentsValid driver’s license and reliable transportationStrong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environment with local travelExperience with CRM or data tracking systems preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting adult education, workforce development, or community-based training programsExperience supporting events, enrollment activities, or intake processesFamiliarity with participant-centered or trauma-informed service environmentsBilingual (preferred but not required)Competencies for SuccessProfessional presence and strong front-line communicationFast-paced multitasking and execution under pressureFollow-through, dependability, and ownership mindsetStrong teamwork and ability to support multiple managersConsistent accuracy in data, communication, and logisticsPositive attitude and “do what it takes” service orientationWork Environment & ScheduleHybrid, role-based is remote with daily communication and interactionSchedule may include occasional early morning, evening, or weekend events, depending on recruitment and programOur CommitmentWe are here to lift up individuals who are ready to work but have been shut out of opportunity.
