Perform research and prepare calculationsin accordance withBlack & Veatch and industry standardson larger and more complex assignments.Develop recommendations for equipment and materials, beginning to expand knowledge into other disciplines and/or functional areas.Understand and work successfully within budget, project schedule, and quality requirements.Assistwith providing guidance to engineering team members.Maintain positive client relations,understanding client interests and drivers through effective communication with the project team.**Preferred Qualifications**Basicknowledge ofStructural Engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standardsBasic structural steeldesignexperience using 3D analysis and design software such as RISA 3D,STAAD Pro, or equivalentBasic foundationdesign experience using analysis and design software such asLPile,RISA Foundation, SP-Mats, etc.Basic experience performing structuralconnection and miscellaneouscalculationsusing MS Excel and/or MathcadWritten Communications, Drive for Results, Priority Setting, Planning,andListeningThe following experience would be a plus(but notrequired) based on the workanticipatedfrom the client(s):Experience with designin the energy sector, whethersubstations,power generation, renewables, or similar fieldsStructural design ofequipment structures and their respective foundations**Minimum Qualifications**Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
