Manager, Respiratory Therapy (RT - NICU Preferred)

Key Responsibilities:Manages teams providing respiratory care services across multiple sites or a single site.Identifies innovations in respiratory equipment to meet patient needs.Develops, implements, and monitors respiratory care goals, objectives, and pulmonary standards.Provides developmental opportunities, builds cross-functional relationships, and coaches employees on goals and performance.Leads organizational change, fosters collaboration, delegates tasks, and motivates teams.Translates business plans into actions, oversees work assignments, ensures policy compliance, and measures progress.Demonstrates clinical expertise by implementing evidence-based standards, protocols, and projects to improve workflows and outcomes.Trains teams on resources, industry developments, and best practices; oversees educational opportunities like quality improvement and continuing education.Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; develops reports, mitigates risks, and implements safety protocols.Manages confidentiality of patient, staff, and member records.llocates resources like personnel and equipment; streamlines operations, inventory, and supply processes for efficiency and cost savings.nalyzes performance metrics and facilitates strategic planning, staffing, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration.Oversees comprehensive patient assessments, care plans, medication administration, infection control, and discharge processes.Promotes patient advocacy, evaluates treatment efficacy, and modifies care plans for complex cases.Leads quality improvement initiatives, resolves complex issues and complaints, and implements process enhancements based on data and feedback.Develops new products/services aligned with healthcare trends and ensures team implementation. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, Health Care Administration, or related field.Minimum 7 years of experience in respiratory therapy or related field.Minimum 4 years in healthcare, customer service, business, or related field (with 2 years in respiratory therapy).Minimum 3 years in a leadership role (with or without direct reports).Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California) required at hire (must be posted on CA state license board).Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certificate required at hire (must be posted on National Respiratory Board).Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire. Required Skills and Experience:Technical: sthma care; pulmonary care; respiratory equipment; patient assessment; care coordination; clinical quality expertise; patient safety; quality improvement; quality assurance.Functional: Maintain files and records; resource management; time management; service focus; patient education; patient advocacy; operations management (staffing, budgeting, inventory, supplies).Behavioral: Mentoring and coaching; intercultural skills; leadership in union and inpatient respiratory care environments.Recent experience in union environment and inpatient respiratory care required.RT NICU experience preferred.
