Today, our 82,000 associates serve more than 10 million customers a week across 10 southeastern and mid-Atlantic states.PRIMARY PURPOSEResponsible for Food Lion To Go operations, making decisions which impact store associates and the level of service offered to our customers.Act as a customer service ambassador in all departments to achieve business goals while fostering an environment that produces high levels of customer satisfaction and associate morale.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManages the Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associatesSupervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provides ongoing performance management, training and conducts timely formal performance appraisals for direct reportsMaintain effective work schedules for Food Lion To Go associates to meet business traffic requirements of on-line orders to minimize customer inconvenience, including assigning activities to associates during idle timeProviding leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of our Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and StrategySupport the achievement of budgeted financial and operating resultsProactively partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders, particularly those with out of stocks are handled properlyEnsure return-to-stock items are handled in a prompt and orderly manner with the most immediate attention given to refrigerated and perishable itemsRole model outstanding, friendly customer service and use skills and knowledge of department products to offer solutions that meet or exceed customers' expectationsControls store's expenses through proper ordering, care for supplies and equipmentUnderstand and use company tools such as; financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, productivity, ordering (CAO), and business information systems Understanding and utilize Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS)Perform duties that ensure department appearance, quality, variety, workplace safety, food safety and department sanitation are consistently maintainedHas a complete understanding of scheduling, sales, projections, wage percent, interviewing, hiring, training, company information, and all other items deemed necessary to manage the Food Lion To Go operationsObserves and corrects all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidentsRecords and reports all associate and customer accidents in accordance with established Food Lion proceduresEnsures compliance with local, state and federal regulationsAdheres to all company guidelines, policies and standard practicesMaintains security standardsSuccessfully complete Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packet and Training Aid coursesProvides recognition of accomplishments and offers constructive counseling when necessary as it relates to achieving customer satisfaction and service while building store sales Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodationsSupport Front End operations as needed.
