AvMC's mission is to "deliver collaborative and innovative aviation and missile capabilities for responsive and cost-effective research, development, and life cycle engineering solutions" to equip the Warfighter with the best technology today and tomorrow.ResponsibilitiesPlan and manage configuration management, as well as collaborate with engineering teams in the performance of CM tasks and in the execution of configuration controlAnalyze, update, and maintain technical baselines in support of interoperability, integration of IT services/systems, and IT governanceResponsible for implementing and performing administration and maintenance of configuration management solutionsEducate team members on CM process, policies, and procedures as they are developed, updated, and implementedCoordinate, support, and performs CM activities for projectsTrack and facilitate approval of change requests from submission through implementationIdentify and track Configuration Items and maintain technical baseline documentsSupport the System Engineering Team, IA and other groups as neededProvide CM input/content as requestedCreation and maintenance of the CMDBResponsible for Risk Management Framework step 6 (Continuous Monitoring of CI's)Incorporate configuration management, methodologies within the change process, initiate improvementsRequirementsBachelor's Degree in IT related technical disciplineActive Security Clearance required3+ years enterprise level IT configuration management experienceOn site at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville ALDemonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, decide appropriate courses of actionStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to senior leadersStrong analytical, multitasking and prioritization skillsIPTA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
