Volleyball Coach (part-time)

Job Summary: Recruit, plan practices, fund raise, game strategize, supervise players Essential Functions 1. Maintain and uphold the College values of Learning, Excellence, Accountability, Diversity, Student Success, Teamwork, Integrity, and Respect. Regular attendance is required. 2. Complete all required College training and responsible for maintaining the skills necessary to complete the essential functions of the position as defined by the department. 3. Student Success is the cornerstone of Western's culture and the college may assign employees as needed to other areas or additional duties to foster this success. 4.Coaching DutiesDemonstrate past or current coaching practices/schedules Prepare athletes for competition Recruiting/Scouting of future athletes Oversee fundraising efforts Demonstrate communication and Supervisory Skills to ensure team rules/regulations regarding conduct and eligibility of athlete are clearly communicated and follow-up Knowledge of technique and fundamentals plus drills associated with the sport Knowledge of technical aspects of the assigned sport and willingness to continue to learn and examine new ideas pertinent to the assigned sport. Model good sportsmanship behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards opposing team, fans, parents, officials, spectators and communityQualifications Required Qualifications: High School Diploma Preferred Qualifications: Prior Coaching experience in High School or College level Required Certifications/Licenses: CPR/AEDSpecial Instructions/About Western This position reports to: Manager - Health, Wellness and Recreation Stipend of $7500/season Applicant review will begin: Monday, March 2, 2026 Start Date of: March/April 2026 Western is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
