Feed Sales Representative The Intermediate Level Livestock/Lifestyle Product Specialist is focused on supporting and growing the livestock and lifestyle product portfolio. This position plays a key role in driving product demand, building strong dealer and co-op relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service. Ideal candidates are passionate about agriculture and animal care, and eager to develop technical expertise and market knowledge.Location: This is a remote (virtual) field-based sales position that must be located within the geographic territory of Western WA (stores included for this position are Kelso, Gig Harbor, Bremerton, Puyallup, Yakima, Pasco, Sonora, and Petaluma). Willingness to travel within this territory to gain insights into the region and understand prospects.Species focus: Calling on equine and cattle animal owners (primary focus being equine) to evaluate existing feeding programs, and to recommend and assist them with their nutritional programs.Key Responsibilities:Make 25+ farms and facilities visits each week to assess feeding programs and recommend solutionsDrive sales by introducing new feed products to customers and supporting existing customersDrive relationships with dealers, co-ops, and Purina expertsLead educational events and demos to promote products and strengthen customer loyaltyManage customer data and use analytics tools to deepen market knowledgeCollaborate with internal teams and stakeholders, participate in meetings and training, and share feedback for continuous improvementCoordinate logistics and event materials with dealers and cross-functional teamsGrow and apply business and industry skills to execute sales plans and growth opportunitiesPursue ongoing professional development and adapt to changing needsQualifications (Required):Highschool diploma or equivalent3 to 5 years industry experience or farm experience equivalent to sales experience or educationSolid understanding of the industry, sales practices, or Purina productsProven ability to build relationships and network to grow businessStrong sales drive with experience making frequent customer callsSkilled in problem-solving and independent decision-makingExcellent communication, organization, and time management skillsQualifications (Preferred):Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field preferredAbility to formulate feed related to Grass Cattle and EquineHigh internal drive, a natural ability for relationship building, and leadership in a team environment.Competencies & Other SkillsAdapt to changing market conditions with professionalism and integrityCommunicate clearly and organize work effectivelyBuild strong relationships and show leadership in teamsMake daily sales calls and interact with customers in various environmentsNetwork within the industry to grow businessLift and carry up to 50 pounds as neededDeliver effective presentationsWork professionally with people at all levelsSolve problems quickly and effectivelyDemonstrate agility and integrity in all interactionsShow initiative and think creatively to address challengesWillingness to travel overnight (5–10%) and daily within assigned territoryThis is a sales role that is compensated with a target mix of base salary plus commission.
