Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst (Part Time) - AK

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst is responsible for monitoring, assessing, and responding to security events within a 24/7 Security Operations Center environment. This role supports physical, technical, and integrated security systems, ensuring the protection of personnel, facilities, and sensitive information. The SOC Analyst serves as the first line of response for alarms, incidents, and communications and escalate issues in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Responsibilities:Monitor and operate security systems including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, alarms, radios, and telephony systemsReceive, assess, document, and respond to security incidents in real timeDispatch security personnel and coordinate emergency response when requiredMaintain accurate incident logs, reports, and shift documentationPerform badge verification, visitor access coordination, and credential checks as applicableCommunicate effectively with Government personnel, first responders, and internal stakeholdersEscalate incidents in accordance with SOPs, post orders, and contractual requirementsMaintain situational awareness across multiple facilities and systems simultaneouslySupport continuity of operations during emergencies or elevated threat conditionsAdhere to all security, safety, and compliance requirementsActive Top Secret (TS) clearance with PolygraphHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required)Minimum 1-3 years experience in:o Security Operations Centero Command Centero Dispatch / Watch Officer / Monitoring environmentAbility to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidaysProficiency with computers and security monitoring softwareStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to remain calm and effective in high-stress situationsMust be able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:* Prior experience supporting DoD, IC, or Federal security operations* Experience with:o Lenel / CCure / Genetec / Honeywell or similar systemso Incident reporting databases* Military, law enforcement, or federal security background* Familiarity with Post Orders and Government security protocolsPhysical & Environmental RequirementsSedentary position with prolonged periods of monitoring screensAbility to sit for extended periods and operate multiple systemsSecure indoor operations center environmentMay require limited movement within secured facilities
