Custodial Technician- Chatham

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on both residential and commercial settings. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed to maintain high standards of cleanliness in all areas. Carry out custodial responsibilities such as restroom sanitation, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies. Maintain floor care through buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure surfaces are clean and presentable. Assist with facilities maintenance by identifying areas needing repair or attention and reporting them accordingly. Support porter duties by moving furniture or equipment as required for events or maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored properly. Requirements Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred. Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and equipment is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments. Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, and moving heavy items throughout the day.
