Non-Equity Civil Litigation Partner
My client is a national law firm and seeking a highly skilled and experienced Partner-level attorney to join a growing civil defense litigation practice in New York City. This role offers the opportunity to take on a leadership position within a rapidly expanding team, working on a broad range of general liability matters while helping to shape the strategic direction of the practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior attorney with strong litigation credentials, leadership ability, and an entrepreneurial mindset.Responsibilities:Manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolutionOversee and contribute to overall case strategyDraft pleadings, dispositive motions, and discovery responsesTake and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnessesParticipate in arbitrations, mediations, and trialsConduct comprehensive legal research and analysisCommunicate effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, witnesses, and co-counselProvide regular and timely updates to clients on case status and strategyCollaborate with partners, associates, and legal staff, and mentor junior attorneysManage cases in line with billing and budgetary requirementsBuild, develop, and maintain strong client relationshipsTravel as required for court appearances and client meetingsWork a hybrid schedule from the New York City officeQualifications:7+ years of litigation experience, preferably in defense litigationJ.D. from an accredited law schoolActive New York Bar admission in good standingStrong legal research, writing, and analytical skillsExperience drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, handling discovery, and conducting depositionsExperience in premises liability, general liability, product liability, personal injury, motor vehicle, property damage, construction and labor law, and insurance defenseExcellent academic credentialsOutstanding communication and organizational skillsProven track record of success in courtroom appearances, depositions, and settlement negotiationsBenefits:Competitive salary range of $180,000 – $200,000Leadership role within a growing and dynamic litigation practiceOpportunity to help shape and grow a practice groupCollaborative and supportive team environmentHybrid working arrangementLong-term career growth and advancement opportunitiesIf you are interested in this position, and you meet the requirements of the role, please click ‘apply now’ to forward an up-to-date copy of your resume.
