A rapidly growing neighborhood bakery café concept known for expertly crafted baked goods, specialty beverages, and warm hospitality is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee multi-unit operations and franchise performance across the market. This role is ideal for a strategic, people-focused leader with strong bakery café and franchise operations experience who thrives in fast-paced growth environments.The Director of Operations will oversee day-to-day operational performance across multiple bakery café locations while driving profitability, brand consistency, guest experience, and franchise success. This leader will partner closely with franchisees and senior leadership to support market growth, operational excellence, and long-term scalability.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee multi-unit bakery café operations with full accountability for sales, profitability, guest experience, and operational performanceSupport franchise partners through coaching, operational guidance, and performance improvement initiativesDrive KPI execution including labor, food cost, sales growth, guest satisfaction, and brand complianceLead, mentor, and develop operations leaders and café management teamsImplement operational systems, processes, and company initiatives to support scalable growthConduct regular café visits to ensure consistency in quality, cleanliness, service, and executionPartner with leadership on market expansion, site selection, and new café openingsCollaborate cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency and team performanceEnsure compliance with health, safety, and company standards across all locationsMaintain strong communication with franchisees and senior leadership regarding operational performance and opportunitiesQualifications5+ years of multi-unit leadership experience in bakery café, café, or restaurant operationsStrong franchise operations experience requiredBakery café experience requiredProven success leading operations in fast-paced, growth-focused environmentsStrong financial acumen with experience managing sales, profitability, labor, and operational KPIsHands-on leadership style with strong coaching and team development skillsAbility to manage multiple locations while maintaining high operational standardsStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesWillingness to travel regularly to café locations and proposed openingsCandidates must be familiar with the brand and expected to visit a café location prior to first interviewCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary: $120,000–$140,000Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) Retirement PlanPaid Time Off & Paid HolidaysHigh-performance growth cultureAdditional company perks and employee benefits
