Senior Associate / Vice President – Private Credit
Investment Underwriting & Financial Analysis
Support and lead underwriting of new investment opportunities, including detailed financial modeling and credit analysis.
Analyze borrower financials, collateral (including tax credit streams), and transaction structures.
Build and maintain complex financial models, including base case and downside scenarios.
Assist in due diligence processes, coordinating across legal, tax, and third-party advisors.
Credit Committee Materials
Prepare high-quality credit committee memoranda and investment summaries.
Develop clear and concise analysis of key risks, mitigants, and return profiles.
Support senior team members in presenting investment opportunities to internal stakeholders.
Track performance of portfolio companies, including financial reporting and covenant compliance.
Assist in identifying potential credit issues and preparing internal updates.
Maintain organized records of borrower reporting and internal analyses.
Fund Operations & Internal Processes
Support loan balance reconciliations and ensure data integrity across internal systems.
Assist with internal reporting, investor materials, and coordination with fund administrators.
Help improve internal workflows and operational processes.
Assist in maintaining underwriting standards and internal credit documentation.
Ensure completeness and organization of deal files and audit-ready materials.
Support compliance with fund documentation and internal controls.
Qualifications & Prerequisites
Experience
3–8+ years of experience in private credit, direct lending, investment banking, or structured finance.
Experience building financial models and performing credit analysis.
Exposure to credit investments, loan structuring, or debt capital markets preferred.
Experience with portfolio monitoring or fund operations is a plus.
Technical Skills
Strong financial modeling and Excel skills.
Ability to analyze financial statements and assess credit risk.
Experience preparing investment memos, pitch materials, or internal reports.
Strong attention to detail in financial and operational workflows.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (required).
MBA or CFA (or progress toward) is a plus but not required.

Additional Requirements
Must be currently based in Puerto Rico or willing to relocate to Puerto Rico.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.
Preferred Attributes
Interest or experience in specialty finance or asset-backed lending.
Familiarity with tax credits, government incentives, or structured collateral (a plus).
Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take on both analytical and operational responsibilities.
