You’ll also train and onboard new team members to ensure they have the skills and confidence to succeed.This is a hands-on leadership role - we need someone who can problem-solve, streamline production, and inspire a team understanding the artistry behind what we make.Compensation & BenefitsStarting at $75,000 annual salaryTwo medical insurance plan options with best available networks; 80% paid by employerDental and vision insurance plans available; 100% paid by employer401K with up to 4% company match3 weeks PTO + 11 paid holidays50% team member discountQualifications3+ years in production, fabrication, or manufacturing.A believer in "Make it cute" - you know function and beauty go together and you’re comfortable embracing something for its “cuteness”A natural leader - you coach and guide a small team with a positive, collaborative mindset.Hands-on problem solver - you tackle challenges head-on.Detail-oriented - you care about craftsmanship and aesthetics.Roll-up your sleeves approach - willing to assume production roles when necessary.Embraces AI workflows - you're comfortable using AI tools to think, write, and solve problems fasterRESPONSIBILITIESTeam Supervision and Coaching• Supervise the production team and act as their point of contact, ensuring adherence to company rules and production expectations• Foster accountability by setting clear expectations and helping the team resolve challenges• Conduct performance reviews for the production team• Approve PTO requests and review timesheets in QuickBooks for the production team• Interview and recommend production team hiresProduction Oversight• Review and distribute daily work orders• Supervise daily production processes, including powder coating, assembly, quality control, testing, and shipping• Identify and resolve bottlenecks promptly by assigning or reallocating team members• Oversee production workflows and ensure accuracy of work logs• Communicate timelines effectively to ensure lead times are met• Collaborate on and develop existing and new production-related processes• Ensure adherence to quality processes so every fixture meets standards before shippingFacility and Equipment Maintenance• Ensure that opening and closing activities (e.g., locking doors, turning on/off lights and equipment) are completed or delegated• Oversee facility upkeep by scheduling and managing sweeping, trash removal, etc.• Maintain the production facility end-to-end: scheduling repairs, coordinating disposal of waste and old equipment, and overseeing new installations• Ensure the workspace remains clean and organized, and that all equipment is serviced and logged on scheduleTraining and Development• Train new hires and provide ongoing support for current staff on production methods and processes• Cross-train the team to reduce likelihood of failure for time-critical processes• Keep SOPs and visual work instructions current as processes evolve• Collaborate with management to improve training tools and practices based on feedback from the floorInventory and Compliance• Monitor the ERP system and inventory levels; surface reorder needs and prepare orders for materials or equipment as necessary• Identify procurement needs or gaps• Coordinate with operations and shipping on outbound order flow• Ensure parts and packaging quality standards are upheld by verifying adherence to standards
