This role focuses on executing defined sourcing activities, supporting supplier engagement and negotiations, and building foundational category, contract, and analytical expertise.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport sourcing activities, supplier evaluations, and proposal reviewsCommunicate with suppliers to gather pricing, proposals, and required informationParticipate in basic negotiations with guidance and document outcomesAssist with contract development and apply a basic understanding of deal structuresReview and analyze small datasets to support procurement decisionsCollaborate with internal stakeholders through clear, professional communicationQualificationsBasic understanding of sourcing and procurement processesStrong communication, organization, and attention‑to‑detail skillsIntroductory analytical skills and comfort working with procurement data and toolsWillingness to learn, follow established processes, and apply feedbackPreferred EducationBachelor's DegreeRequired Technical And Professional Expertise Exposure to Commodity Sourcing: Experience working with commodity sourcing, including understanding demand, identifying suppliers, and negotiating contracts. Data Analysis and Benchmarking: Exposure to data analysis and benchmarking tools and techniques, with the ability to apply insights to inform sourcing decisions. Industry Knowledge: Experience working with industry-specific knowledge, including understanding market trends, supplier dynamics, and regulatory requirements. Sourcing Process Management: Exposure to managing the sourcing process, including documentation, auditability, and compliance with organizational policies. Contract Negotiation: Experience working with contract negotiation, including developing negotiation strategies and achieving optimal outcomes.Preferred Technical And Professional Experience Deep Industry Knowledge: Experience working with industry-specific knowledge, including understanding market trends, supplier dynamics, and regulatory requirements, to drive effective sourcing decisions. Advanced Data Analysis: Exposure to advanced data analysis and benchmarking tools and techniques, with the ability to apply insights to inform complex sourcing decisions. Strategic Sourcing: Experience with strategic sourcing concepts, including category management, supplier relationship management, and total cost of ownership analysis.
