Field Service Technician

Position SummaryA Field Service Technician for our Columbia, SC branch provides service and repair for forklifts and material handling equipment at customer facilities. This role requires strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently in the field, and a commitment to delivering safe, reliable repairs that keep customer operations running smoothly.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair forklifts and material handling equipment (electric, LPG, diesel, and gas)Perform planned maintenance, safety inspections, and emergency repairsTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systemsCommunicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and equipment statusComplete service reports and documentation accurately and on timeMaintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory in a professional mannerFollow all safety policies and procedures Qualifications2+ years of experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment preferredExperience working with multiple brands of forklifts preferredStrong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionValid driver's license and clean driving recordGood communication and customer service skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments What We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceCompany-provided service vehicle and toolsPaid training and certification opportunitiesMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for advancement within a growing companyEqual Opportunity Employer
