Typical work assignments include: This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $148,711.00 (GS-14, Step 10). This position allows you to use your knowledge and experience performing a full range of administrative, research and analytical duties sensitive in nature and special assignments related to the missions and functions of the office. Acts as a liaison between CBP Operational Support Facilities (OSF) Office and the Rio Grande Valley Sector (RGV) on all matters concerning the maintenance of facilities. Directs efficiency initiatives to reduce logistical costs and expenses in parts, repair, maintenance etc. Oversees the Fleet Department components of Mission Readiness Operations Division (MROD) (e.g. Fleet Management and Fuel Management). Oversees the Supply Department components of MROD (e.g. Personal Property Management, Warehouse Management and Wireless Program Management). Perform second-line supervisory functions for the Supply and Fleet department Branch Chiefs. Oversee the development of plans, policies, and procedures governing the execution of Fleet and Acquisition branch programs. Oversee internal Fleet, and Supply department audits, reviews, investigations; and formulate reports, plan of actions or new policies or guidelines as necessary or predicated by the resulting information. Bargaining Unit: This position is not covered under the bargaining unit.QualificationsExperience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Experience planning, organizing, and coordinating logistics operations, including asset management, acquisitions, facilities maintenance, and fleet management, to support organizational mission readiness. Organizing the activities of a team or group, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, monitoring progress, and providing guidance to ensure efficient completion of logistics-related projects and objectives. Conducting independent review and analysis of budgetary and procurement data, preparing reports and briefings for management, and ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures for acquisitions and contract management. Managing fleet operations, including ordering, receiving, inventorying, transferring, repairing, and excessing vehicles and equipment, as well as administering fleet records and ensuring compliance with national fleet policies. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., headquarters staff, contractors, service providers) to resolve complex logistical issues, negotiate solutions, and represent the organization in meetings, briefings, and presentations.
