Security Officer
Location: Piqua, Ohio Position Summary:The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, tenants, and employees. This role involves monitoring property, responding to incidents, enforcing policies, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:Patrol the premises, including common areas, parking lots, and entrances, to deter and detect security risks. Monitor security cameras and alarm systems for suspicious activity. Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and medical situations, following established procedures. Enforce policies, rules, and regulations in a professional and courteous manner. Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed. Document all incidents, observations, and actions in detailed reports. Assist tenants, guests, and staff with security-related concerns or inquiries. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards. Participate in security training, drills, and ongoing professional development. Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or law enforcement training preferred. Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Basic computer skills for reporting and communication purposes. Physical ability to walk, stand, and respond quickly in emergency situations. Work Schedule:Full-time or part-time positions; may include nights, weekends, and holidays depending on hours.
