Apply via Dice today!Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer (Hybrid)Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Microsoft Cloud Engineer for their Portland, OR location. This position supports multiple Enterprise Messaging/Exchange Online, Defender for M365, Exchange Online Protection, Teams Online, and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync administration services. The Microsoft Cloud Engineer provides messaging system support to facilitate a sustainable, stable, and secure enterprise system on premise level servers including backup recovery, performance tuning, upgrades/patches, maintenance, troubleshooting, archiving, and litigation hold and e-discovery support. Additionally, this position provides cloud-based service support for Exchange Online, Teams Phone, and Teams Calling.This hybrid position is a one-year renewable contract that includes employee benefits! If you think you d be a good fit, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities for Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer:Act as an organizational point of contact for Azure, M365, Exchange Online, and Teams administration support consisting of:ITSM ticketing and/or incident management requests for Enterprise Messaging/Exchange Online E-mail AdministrationAdministration of Defender for M365 Exchange Online ProtectionAdministration of Teams OnlineAdministration of OneDrive (SharePoint integration)M365 Entra Identity & Access management and role provisioning through M365 Management PortalSupport Azure Active Directory services to enable service access and hybrid-cloud integration with on premise systems.Provide technical expertise to Help Desk regarding calls related to M365 services. Work with the appropriate vendor technical resource(s) on escalation problem items for Cloud Service Provider Enterprise Messaging Support team.Install and configure Exchange messaging/SMTP server hardware on-premises on virtual environments or cloud enclaves, including operating systems on physical servers.Provide administration of Enterprise Exchange 2019/2025 SE, Exchange On-line Messaging, and on-premises servers.Provide patching, maintenance, and support of existing on-premises messaging system products and services.Support cluster/disaster recovery and facilitate continuous high availability of business-critical Messaging tools.Facilitate and participate in information technology planning, provide analytical support, and coordinate technical resources and efforts with other departments.Perform analysis of system capability; develop functional and system requirements; complete business process design and workflow; verify integration with other modules, system components, and other applications.Apply and maintain system security documentation and act as a secondary collaboration point of contact for the Cyber and Physical Security organizations for issues related to cloud and on-premises Enterprise Messaging, Teams Online, e-discovery, and Litigation Holds. Support Enterprise Messaging security requirements and verify timelines are implemented and complied with.Facilitate user/stakeholder interviews and joint requirements planning sessions. Draft requirements documentation, review with user representatives, recommend priorities and obtain user signoff.Provide cross training and functional documentation of subject matter (Azure and M365 components) to specific organizational audiences.Participate in process workshops.Provide the full range of Azure/M365 as well as Enterprise Messaging/Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, Teams Online administration.Assist in analysis of system capability.Participate in weekly duration on call rotation schedule.Requirements for Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer:U.S. Citizenship and valid U.S. Driver s License required.A bachelor s degree in information/computer technology (or related technical field) is preferred.8 years of experience is required with an applicable associate or bachelor s degree.10 years of experience is required without a degree or applicable degree.Experience must include direct work experience in information technology performing cloud service-based system administration.2+ years of experience with scripting skills sufficient to maintain Exchange and Teams Online environment.5+ years of experience troubleshooting messaging and hybrid cloud system level problems.Ability to interpret architecture and design configurations from vendors or other teams to enable clear implementation standards and guidelines.The ability to participate in a weekly duration of teams on call rotation.**We are unable to accommodate corp. to corp. candidates**About Motus Recruiting and Staffing, Inc: Founded in 2006, Motus is an award-winning recruiting and staffing firm in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in professional services and technology solutions.
